Here’s an entertaining scoop from Mother Jones: Crackpot ex-KGB academic teams up with tea party radicals to predict the imminent break-up of the United States.
It must be so hard for the t-baggers who just love America so, so, so much that they are sure it will fall. And some take solace from a former KGB agent while calling O a commie.
We are just some giant Colbert like reality entertainment program for a distant planet.
I’m not sure about the West going to China or many of his absurd positions. On the other hand the US isn’t too big to fail. Our political systems aren’t working. When the Federal Government takes more than it can give, I’m sure that it will end.
There’s a much more interesting Russian emigre predicting US collapse named Dmitry Orlov. I read his book (called Reinventing Collapse). Juan Enriquez has been discussing (from his Latin American perspective) the prospective for an IMF restructuring of the US dollar. Orlov’s book talks about how to deal with the collapse which is much more interesting than just apocalyptic self-flagellation.

Can you provide any links or insights that you’ve come to from reading the book? I’m very interested in this topic.
Over at FPR, they’re having a similar discussion. And, though I don’t want to be a snitch, a couple of the LOOG metro-sexual types are starting to hang out over there! Probably be a post or two on the subject shortly!

“Starting to?” You mean they haven’t all along?
